Ingredients (approx. 36 servings)
400g all-purpose flour
150g butter at room temperature
1 tsp instant yeast
½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup milk
250g pitted dates
½ cup ground walnuts
1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
Add the flour, butter, yeast and powdered sugar in a bowl. Stir, then add the milk and knead into dough. Cover it with cling film, then let it rest for an hour. Using a rolling pin, spread the dough into a 30x50 rectangle, 1cm thick. Place the dates, walnuts and cinnamon in a blender and turn them into pulp, then spread the pulp over the dough. Cut into three strips. Wrap each strip, then cut in 12. Bake the bites in a preheated oven at 175ºC for 18-20’.
